Keep My Love 03:26
Sunflowers blooming in her eyes; I feel our love grow On a rooftop in the rain, her lips pressed to mine; I don’t wanna let go Cause in the future is a goodbye kiss, but we still have now and we still have this And life will do what it does, so please won’t you take my love Hurricanes forming in my eyes; When she first told me Distance isn’t yet a factor, there’s no compromise; she could still hold me And I keep chasing just to keep her pace, and I won’t stop now, I long her embrace And life will do what it does, and we can make it but you’ve gotta want it Come on and keep my love Keep my love Or give it back x3 And I know you’re hesitant That the winds might blow and the storms may never cease once I leave And your concerns about our foundation are valid, but we’ve got time to grow Into the kind of anchor that will never let us drift apart if we don’t let go Come on and keep my love Keep my love Or give it back x3 Come on and keep my love Keep my love Or give it back x3 Keep my love before I go I thought that you might wanna know That I could kiss you Don't make me miss you So darling won't you, keep my love Keep my love (I can't keep your love)

Tell Me Now 03:59
There’s blood in the water And a bandage on my chest My wits claim they caught her And they’re near the end with just one request Please tell me now Tell me now if you’re coming to grips That you just can’t love me But you’re scared to sink my ship Just please tell me now I bask in your sunlight And I dream by your moon You used to hum the songs I write But lately you’ve been whistling a different tune So please tell me now Tell me now if you’re coming to grips That you just can’t love me But you’re scared to sink my ship Just please tell me now Tell me now, I don’t wanna be played Shoot the cannons and end your charade Just rip off the bandaid And please tell me now Maybe I should be more self assured but maybe All my claims aren’t so absurd, baby So don’t try to pull the wool over my eyes Cause girl, I see through your lies So please tell me now Tell me now if you’re coming to grips That you just can’t love me But you’re scared to sink my ship Just please tell me now Tell me now, I don’t wanna be played Shoot the cannons and end your charade Just rip off the bandaid And please tell me now Please Tell Me Now x4 Please tell me now if you're coming to grips That you just can't love me That you just won't love me Cause I gotta know I gotta know right now If you just can't love me If you just won't love Just please tell me now

Enough 03:16
Waffle dates and pasta bars With conversations on my front porch swing I stayed the night that your ID was taken I thought that we more than a fling But I never knew that you were capable of Causing me such pain No I never knew all the love I would give you Was only gonna end in vain Cause you're so vain And yes, this song is about you You kissed me goodbye right before I left To leave on my tour But one week down the road You didn't want anymore Cause I'm tired of not being enough And watching my love walk away I'm sick of her falling in love The very next day My love will never be enough for you You never want to see it through My love is not enough, no I'll never be enough for you Weddings and your first slow dance On a list of things we'll never do We planned a trip to the North Shore camping But now we'll never follow through Cause I never knew that you were capable of Causing me such pain No, I never thought you would tell me it's sunny And let me walk into the rain You kissed me goodbye right before I left To leave on my tour But one week down the road You didn't want anymore Cause I'm tired of not being enough And watching my love walk away I'm sick of her falling in love The very next day My love will never be enough for you You never want to see it through My love is not enough, no I'll never be enough for you, enough for you You found someone new, someone new x3 You found someone new, someone new Bet he's not good for you, good for you I was good for you, I was good for you Cause I'm tired of not being enough And watching my love walk away I'm sick of her falling in love The very next day My love will never be enough for you You never want to see it through My love is not enough, no

Lose Me 02:56
I hope you find yourself Wherever that may be But you should know, you never had to lose me (You just dangled my love so loosely) I hope you find yourself Wherever that may be But you should know, now listen up closely You never had to lose me Deceptions in the mirror Her reflections not the same Why the change? What are we? And where are you going? And who do I see? Is there time to try and change your mind? Or are you just gonna flee, without me? I hope you find yourself Wherever that may be But you should know, you never had to lose me (You just dangled my love so loosely) I hope you find yourself Wherever that may be But you should know, now listen up closely You never had to lose me She thinks I'm an anchor in the water Some dead weight on her back But where do you get off thinking that I'm finished? Cause I'm still searching too We could have found ourselves together But now I'm moving on without you I hope you find yourself Wherever that may be But you should know, you never had to lose me (You just dangled my love so loosely) I hope you find yourself Wherever that may be But you should know, now listen up closely You never had to lose me I hope you find yourself Wherever that may be But you should know, now listen up closely You never had to lose me You never had to lose me Girl you better find yourself Girl you better find yourself So now listen up closely You never had to lose me

I’ve heard that love is in the air, but I can’t smell it I must be too congested with the changing of season, The heartbreak that she’s imposing on me But I still remember your fragrance It’s stained upon my blanket And I offered a long term love, But you refused to take it You’re the rhyme and the reason For sunflower season sprouting all around me We both know I’m leaving No sense in deceiving a love that simply won’t be Now our sunflower season has come to an end So why does it feel like treason being just friends? I haven’t heard from you in 57 days A week from now we’ll see James Bay I might be there alone But you can’t take that away Now we’re not moving together, so I’ll just let it be Why don’t you be you? And I’ll be me You’re the rhyme and the reason For sunflower season sprouting all around me We both know I’m leaving No sense in deceiving a love that simply won’t be Now our sunflower season has come to an end So why does it feel like treason? Cause we’re not friends, no Friends don’t throw you aside when things are over Friends don’t pour you a drink and tell you to be sober Friends don’t do what you did What you done to me You’re the rhyme and the reason For sunflower season sprouting all around me We both know I’m leaving No sense in deceiving a love that simply won’t be Now our sunflower season has come to an end So why does it feel like treason? Cause we’re not friends

about

"Sunflower Season" is an EP telling tales of heartbreak and the realization that, as much as we would like them to, not everything in our lives will last forever. People come and go in our lives just as the seasons will inevitably change each year. That doesn't mean, however, that we can't remember the fond memories, or the struggles, that shaped us into who we became as a result of that "season" occurring. These 5 songs are my recollection of a girl with "sunflowers blooming in her eyes" and the way that I felt when our season came to an end.
